Hello! Thanks for visiting Peaks and Palms!
I’ve been passionate about travel as long as I can remember. My first booking for a client was when I was eight years old - I found a last minute deal for my dad, sister, and I to go to Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Florida and was able to talk my dad into taking us! In the two decades since, I’ve expanded my horizons to further flung destinations, grown my client base, and developed relationships with the top suppliers of travel, but have never lost that sense of excitement for going new places and discovering new experiences.
My career started in data and analytics consulting, but travel and outdoor experiences have always been what make me truly happy, leading to a lot of travel to escape the boredom of sitting at a desk coding for many hours a day. Whenever I would get home from a trip and tell my friends about it, the usual reaction would be something along the lines of “that’s so cool, how can I do it?!” Those conversations made me realize that there are so many people out there who want to explore the world in an unconventional way but don’t have a clue where to start or even that those opportunities exist (did you know you can take a week long whitewater rafting trip where your guides will lead you down the river, cook you gourmet meals, and even set up your tent?!).
I founded Peaks and Palms to help people discover the world in the best way possible for them. Many people don’t know how to travel, don’t know what’s out there, or are too overwhelmed by all of the options and possibilities to plan. And when things go wrong, it's easy to get thrown off track if you don't have a pro on your team.
I can help you plan just about any kind of trip you’re dreaming of, but some of my favorites include ski trips (both preplanned large group or family trips and last minute powder chases), multi-day river trips, and guided outdoor adventures (hiking, backpacking, biking, sailing, etc.) all over the world. When I get tired of all of the adventure, I absolutely love a good beach and a mai tai, so I know exactly where to send you for the best of both. And though I never want your travels to be anything but smooth, when you do hit bumps in the road, I love rolling up my sleeves and fixing them for you.
When I’m not on the move, I’m probably rowing down the whitewater rivers of the west on my raft, skiing powder, hiking in the Wasatch mountains, or eating really good food. I’m based in Salt Lake City, UT, and while I primarily work virtually, I’m always happy to meet for an IRL planning session if you’re in the area or if I happen to be in yours!
